An event poster that says: "Innovate UK. BridgeAI. Operationalising the UK's AI regulation principles through standards . Webinar from the Alan Turing Institute, 29 February 11-12 (GMT) | Online. Register."

Researchers from The Alan Turing Institute’s AI Governance and Regulatory Innovation team share research insights aimed at supporting UK stakeholders in the use of standards to interpret the UK’s AI regulation white paper principles and apply them in practice.

The UK government’s pro-innovation approach to AI regulation (AI white paper), published 29 March 2023, sets out five principles representing what “well governed AI should look like on a cross cutting basis”.

These principles are safety, security, and robustness; adequate transparency and explainability; fairness; accountability and governance; and contestability and redress.

In this interactive webinar, researchers from The Alan Turing Institute’s AI Governance and Regulatory Innovation team share insights from their research mapping and assessing the relevance of standards for operationalising the AI white paper principles.
