Business Engagement

The Scottish AI Alliance team have been engaging with the enterprise agencies (Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and South of Scotland Enterprise) on various levels ranging from business research to community engagement activities.

The Alliance also collaborated with Scottish Development International’s London office for a Scotland Showcase reception in London at Scotland House during CogX in September 2023.

Scottish Enterprise also commissioned an AI Landscape Mapping report from Optimat which was published in May 2023. This provided some foundational research on the AI ecosystem from a supply and demand perspective.

The team have also engaged with local Chambers of Commerce (Fife and Moray) in response to requests for support on AI learning for their members.

Connections have also been made with the EU AI Startup Landscape and the EU AI Forum and in 2024, these connections will explored further to ensure that AI businesses in Scotland on the supply side are well placed for success in the EU market.

The Alliance are committed to helping organisations navigate through the noise and going forward, the team will undertaking more dedicated efforts to provide support to Scotland’s businesses and organisations on their AI journey.
